Incubators

Incubators

Investing in an amazing incubator should be top of your list! Buying a quality machine will pay off in the long run. My Brinsea incubators have been my go-to for years. The oldest machine I have is over 5 years old and still going strong.

Consistency matters when it comes to incubation. Finding an incubator that is dependable is a must. Keeping tabs on the humidity to make sure it remains the same the first 18 days is hard to do. An automatic incubator allows for a constant environment for the eggs.
An incubator that has produced amazing results is the Brinsea Ovation EX incubators. They have extremely consistent with a set it and forget it until day 18 with the exception of checking the water reservoir and candling the eggs. There are other incubators available with similar features, but I have yet to use them.
Even with automatic incubators, a secondary thermometer and hygrometer is needed to watch the temperature and humidity closely. No machine is perfect; failures happen and the sooner the problem is detected that faster it can be corrected and hopefully salvage the hatch.
